BRIEF DESCRIPTION

We maintain the world's largest Japanese-English bilingual bidirectional databases of proper nouns. These are used by some of the world major IT companies for a wide variety of applications. This document describes our database of Japanese companies and organizations, which covers nearly 600,000 entries. It contains kana and romaji readings, frequency ranking, English translations for listed companies, and other attributes (not all shown here).

Description of Fields

1	ID	ID number preceded by the prefix "O" for "Organization", followed by a six digit, zero-padded number.
2	JAPANESE	Japanese company or organization name in standard kana/kanji script
3	READING	Reading in hiragana
4	ENGLISH	Name of company in English
5	RANK CODE	A Listed on a Japanese stock exchange B Of relatively high importance C Of lesser importance D All others
